Windows XP: Configuring Automatic Updates

Verifying and Configuring Automatic Updates

1.                   Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.                   Click Automatic Updates.

3.                   Choose Automatic (recommended).

4.                   If you want it automatic, you would select the top options.  If you don’t want your computer to shut off until you choose, you would make sure that you select the second options.  (This should already be done on your computer.)

5.       If you choose the second option, you will need to click the  in the bottom right hand corner of your monitor as you see it come up.
